I know what you are thinking. "I don't need medical insurance. I'm in great health. I'm just wasting my money paying for it." Stop for a moment and think about what you just said. While the statement you just made might be true, can you really say the same for five years down the road? How about ten?

There are lot of life threatening and extremely severe diseases and illnesses. A lot of these devastating diseases are cured or harnessed thanks to state-of-the-art medication. However these medications are usually not cheap and you could break the bank trying to personally pay for all of them.

In extreme circumstances, a transplant or serious operation is required. These are also not cheap and sometimes require that the patient travel to another state or even country.

What happens when you or your family members get old? What happens when they can no longer function properly or have a severe disease that requires constant, around the clock monitoring? Insurance companies can provide for the sick for years, even in a vegetative state.

And why shouldn't you? Modern advances in science and the medical fields have allowed doctors to diagnose and treat diseases much quicker. With the added time, doctors save lives and allow people to live longer. Serious diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are now more readily treatable.

All of these risk factors dealing with you or your family's health are covered by medical insurance. The financial burdens of high medical bills and hospital costs are covered by the insurance broker. Now you can rest free knowing it will not put your family in financial debt.

Apply for medical insurance before your health turns for the worse. This seems like common sense, but too many people neglect to sign up for insurance until their health is a problem. However, health insurance providers are much more willingly to accept your policy when you are in a good state of health.

Insurance companies do not have a moral obligation to insure everybody. They want to protect people, but it's difficult to insure people who need money and they need it now. How they can reward desperation when other clients have been faithful for years and might need the money also?

Protect yourself and your health. You cannot afford the sick world of diseases and traumatic issues by yourself. Allow somebody to help, something to carry the financial burden. It's the key to a long, healthy life.
